And Touta is a relative of Negi. Yup, it's a sequel to Negima. Negima had an abrupt ending in the manga, mostly because of executives not minding their own business. So here's UQ Holder to try and made sense of it all. And does it? Well, no. The anime does not. The manga might, later. The anime does not. At least it's pretty.
when think about making sense of how the negima end........well. it seem awkward even in manga which i feel like its plot become like getter robot. yup i really mean that not kidding.
Debatable. I did not like their encode much, and the English dub is worthless to me. Also, "softsubs" just means it's not hardsubbed, regardless if it's internal or external.
^ I meant proper filenames, and proper softsubs. And subtitles that can't even be turned off/on directly from the video player are exactly the same as hardsubs when watching anime directly from DVD-Rs.
I also think English dubs are worthless, but some people like them so if there is one available then there is no harm in including it. Golumpa's version also has better compression. Smaller filesize than your version even with the English dub included, without any quality loss. No big deal for me since both versions require 2 DVD-Rs to store, but people who like to store anime on hard drives will appreciate the extra 1.7GB they are saving by downloading Golumpa's version. Smaller filesize also takes less time to download, which is yet another advantage for people who have slow internet and limited bandwidth.
Oh, I remember you. The guy who wants anime to have small sizes so he can write them to DVDs. Let me know when you catch up to us living in 2019. You seem to be stuck in 1999.
Every proper BD rips in 2019 includes internal softsubs and proper filenames, so catch up with the times yourself.
And just because it's 2019 doesn't mean I must suddenly stop using DVD-Rs and my DVD player, and no longer allowed to sit comfortably on my couch watching anime on my big TV.
How can I get with the times when I am ahead of them? Well, I suppose you can argue they were using external subs in the age of .avi and .ssa.
I'm not arguing against using DVD-Rs to watch anime, I'm arguing against reducing file sizes so that more episodes can fit on a DVD-R. I don't care about the size restriction of a DVD. Nor do I care about the compatibility with DVD players. And don't give me the crap about how can only use your big screen TV with a DVD player. It's 2019, there are so many option to stream from your PC to your TV. And you don't even need the PC in the same room.
But the bottom line is this: you can comment in every torrent that I make, that's fine. But I will continue to make fun of you and completely disregard your opinion because I don't care what you want.
As I mentioned in my other post, lower file size is convenient for everyone. It does not matter whether we use DVD-Rs or hard drives to store our anime. But the main issue with your torrents are the external subs and file names. If you ever fix these, then you'll never see me complaining again. Quite the opposite in fact, I would be here expressing my gratitude.
And the other main reason I prefer using DVD-Rs is because optical discs are a more reliable method of storage than hard drives. My DVDs will last me my entire lifetime, since I have always used some of the best DVD-Rs and DVD burners, and always take very good care of my DVDs and store them in a dark, cool and dry room. But the same cannot be said for hard drive, they will fail at some point and when they do, it's a much bigger blow to someone's anime collection than losing the content of 1 DVD-R.
But for anyone else reading this: as someone who used to store all my anime on DVD-Rs (I still have them, 3300+ of them), DVD-Rs are NOT the better choice. Why? Because while they do last longer then an HDD, they still fail. But unlike an HDD, you will have no idea that it failed. And you have no way of checking to see if your DVDs are still good. What was I gonna do? Check 3000 DVDs? So now I store them on HDDs, twice. Every year I check the HDDs to see if they are OK. It's much cheaper and much safer. The odds of BOTH copies failing are small, but it's really the only thing you can do. HDDs are cheap. I have 30 TB in total (15 TB x 2). And the storage room for 3000 DVDs is insane. Yeah, for a small collection DVDs are OK, but for anything over 1000, hell no. Also, if your HDD fails you can still recover some data. If your DVD fails, and you can't read it... goodbye.
@Dias_Flac Nobody is forcing you to download any of this, if you're not happy with the release just don't get it. Asking on every release and bashing the uploader won't get you anywhere. Mux them yourself you lazy!
Also concerning your HDD failure, today we have parity so no we never lose any data. Keep burning those DVDs, it doesn't seem time consuming at all.
@DmonHiro This is why it's always important to test your DVD-Rs for errors after you burn them. You will immediately know right from the start if your DVD is defective, and get a CRC error. Either a manufacture defect (this is why it's important to use quality DVD-Rs, I personally recommend Sony) or the DVD-R wasn't burned properly (The slower the burn speed, the better. I always burn a 1x to be safe). A properly burned DVD-R, stored in a dry/cool/dark environment, should have a life expectancy of 100 to 200 years or more. Just make sure to use DVD-R, not DVD-RW.
@cybernaut Sometimes DmonHiro's BD rip is the only option (not in UQ Holder's case, I downloaded Golumpa's version) but yes, when his uploads are the only option, it's still better than nothing and I always do the necessary fixes myself. I just wish he would "care what others want" and do internal softsubs and improve those filenames, since it would make his uploads a lot better.
I just had some bad experiences with hard drives, even quality brands like Seagate and Western Digital never seem to last me more than 5 years. But all of the DVD-Rs I burned 20 years ago still work perfect. Feel free to use whatever storage method you prefer, but I've always preferred DVD-Rs.

It should, but doesn't. Checking the DVD after burning means nothing in the long run. I've always done that and still had discs fail. I have DVDs I burned 20 years as well. Still work perfectly. I had DVDs burned 2 years ago that are not worthless. It is not worth risking, especially sing one third of my collection is stuff you can't even get anymore. And again, I had 3000+. Storage place was also an issue.

Storage can be an issue, but in my opinion the advantages of DVD-Rs are definitely worth dedicating an extra room of my household to store them. Just like plenty of people choose to have a library of physical books despite the storage issue, because they have many advantages that e-books don't.

Wouldn't exactly call him a flat-earther just because he stores shit on DVDs. I store many anime on DVD-Rs too, because I live in a third-world country, and HDDs do NOT come cheap here. Besides, DVDs are convenient.
I can see the point in "normal" (more like what most people do) naming compared to yours but in the end what really is important for me is encode quality and subtitle. Here we can also argue that muxing them in would be better but the solution is the same as with naming, just do it yourself if you do not like it the way it is. Muxing subs in takes seconds and renaming w whopping 17 files takes just as much.
Size? man I sometimes store 1GB+ 720p AAC episodes and 3GB+ 1080p FLACs. Today's storage prices are so freaking low that it does not really matter.
The only thing that I might find not good depending on how .ass subs were made is that you might not have the required fonts but if in the end, everything works, what is the problem.
