The Bakemonogatari TV series has an intro which is a recap of the events of Kizumonogatari. The only problem is that it doesn’t look anything like the Kizumonogatari movies, which were made years later with a higher budget. My solution was to recreate the Bakemonogatari intro by replacing each shot from the TV intro with the corresponding shot from the Kizu movies, such that the length of each shot matches frame-for-frame with the original TV episode (otherwise the audio would get out of sync). In order to watch the full series, you need my edit for episode 1 as well as anyone else's release of the full series. My release includes a patch for Windows users which detects what version of Bakemonogatari you already have and automatically matches the subs with your version (most non-hardsubbed releases are supported). The patch also enables the option to turn on and off Marathon mode for your existing version of Bakemonogatari, which is a familiar feature from the Madoka Magica v2 fancut that automatically skips the theme songs whenever they're not important (it always plays each one at least once). Thanks, I hate it
Someone actually thought this was a good idea. Amazing.
Ignore the snark from the peanut gallery. It's a cool project.
You realize the different cut is due to Araragi's unreliable narration right? Just like when we were shown a flashback of him learning about Hanekawa's parents in Bakemonogatari, the same conversation took an entire episode in Nekomonogatari: Kuro.

The conversations about Hanekawa's parents were completely different. In the Kizu flashback, most of the shots have an exact equivalent from the movies and I didn't change the ones that don't.
>The conversations about Hanekawa’s parents were completely different its irrelevant but no. sure conversation was more rich and detailed in neko kuro, but the all the lines from bake were there as well. just not all subbers knew or remembered about it, to keep subs consistent

>all the lines from bake were there as well. There are lines in the flashback that aren't in Neko. It's not about the subs, the audio is different too, and most importantly, the content of the conversation is different. Obviously Araragi's narration that explains that it's a flashback isn't there in Neko, but even if you don't count that, the two conversations diverge to completely different paths only a couple of lines in.
well maybe I wasn't clear i guess. not all lines from bake are in neko kuro and not all neko kuro lines are included in bake obviously. but whatever lines are common and they are several, they are identical in wording (or well almost identical). this doesnt reflect on subs in any case. anyway gist is both iterations coexist without contradictions. or at least without important ones. its like recounting an event twice, but highlighting different details each time, with some points in common. both parts are needed to make the recount whole. its been a while since i watched it last. but i compared those 2 parts quite well. (im talking about the pre OP flashback btw, when A talks to H. its offtopic so I wont go quoting the common lines. but iirc they re about 10 or thereabouts so no they re not completely different conversations.)

True, they have some parts in common. The point is that it would have been impossible to do what I did with the Kizu flashback (and I tried, because it was requested).
