I have 2 questions if I can, how come 9gb size? usually the average is about 4.7Gb is there any different ? and why did you delete the torrent you had done to me?
I haven't downloaded any of his encodes in a while now because of the exorbitant file size (which imo nullifies the entire reason of x265) but he's said that all he cares about is quality, not the file size. He has some 1080p movies around the 15GB size on his 1337x profile which is ridiculous but I know their quality must be flawless. The few movies/animes I've downloaded from him have never disappointed.
He's definitely a niche encoder but his work never disappoints.
@radydragoon Certain movies the animation is just top notch, this is one of them. With those movies I do crf 18, most anime I do crf 19 and I do aq mode 2 instead of 3. 3 makes the size increase but I do feel it looks better so I do it for anime I feel really deserves it. As long as it ends up at half the size or less of a remux then I'm satisfied and not redoing it, bigger than half the size I change my settings, turn it down a notch and redo it. This movie I used the bluray itself, the movie was 27 gb to begin with so I'm fine with how it turned out size wise. I deleted silent voice because someone made a comment on there that I didn't like and I kind of went off on them. A bit too much, went overboard. Work is very stressful these days so some things that may annoy me I've been snapping over. Too much time had passed to delete the comment so I deleted the torrent. It's still out there tho, it's on some private sites.
@Prof Thank you so much for everything that you do you really made me understand many thing :) i hope things get easier in the future for you.
I hope also that soon you will post the rest of Mamoru Hosoda movie witch you did long a go.
