This is a re-upload. I previously uploaded this under the username "Super_Saiyan_Lusitano", but decided to delete all torrents to have under one account, so it's online again after so long. I realize someone uploaded a batch of this although it's a somewhat 'lighter' version while this has everything intact as before, I didn't remove or add anything.
I wasn't planning to upload so soon, but because I can't download BD/DVD ISOs I wanted from MoeDrive (says "quota exceeded" and I never downloaded from there before) I figured I'd just move this along instead. GT Remux will be next, and then DB Salvat and Manga Films DVD ISOs, and so on.
Edit:
**Please remember to seed after downloading.**
Thanks.
Thanks my nice bro . I am also missing PAL single DVDs of Freiza saga of Z along with the PAL GT ones . Also , it would be really great to upload dragon ball saga sets ( R4 ) if the ones you have are better than the ones on AB , since the ones on AB are mere video TS files .
+ Do you have the older Spanish release of Z ? If so , do they have NEPs ? Are they UNCUT and with grain ? And could you share them if they're worth it ?
@ sameer
I asked via their IRC help channel to see if they could change my username, but nope. So I just made a new, "official" account.
@ dragonballlover
I have the first release of Dragon Ball Z by Selecta Visión, known as Remastered Edition (Edición Remasterizada) which seems the Salvat A DVDs are based on, so unfortunately Z didn't get a quality treatment (even if it were censored) like Dragon Ball did. It's about 400GB and it does include the NEPs (although DNR'd).
Here's an example of how they "improved" the picture quality:

What kind of a moron thinks ruining the picture quality and detail is an improvement.. FUNimation and Selecta Visión!
Another note: SV's DBZ "Ultimate Edition" is essentially the 30A on DVD.

@ Koitern
Yes, the FUNimation dub. The Blue Water dub seems to be a pain for folks to sync it.
@ Gale
(In English so everyone can read it)
You're welcome. The Salvat release is definitely far better in terms of video quality, even though it's 51 discs rather than 26, but we should always care about quality over quantity.
Salvat had grain, Manga Films for the most part didn't.
Here's a screenshot of the Salvat release:

Aesthetically, the Manga Films' red covers look a lot nicer than Salvat's ones (pretty bland and basic cover design overall).

I thought the upload speed would be much higher as according to the speed test, but the max seems to only be 3.5 MiB/s so not as quite as I had hoped. Maybe the ISP is throttling it.
@ Jochu
That's definitely worth it though it would take some time to get all 153 episode from the 51 DVDs.

Cool thing about the Salvat DB DVDs is that they all came with a thin booklet (just simple info although a neat collectible for collectors).
@ Dokuta-Gero
Just be patient. I'd rather just upload the DVD ISOs than make DVD Remuxes, hell, ripping all 51 discs took some considerable time as it is.
All this sounds solid, save for that file size. With these only being SD-res, what is making each episode over a gig each? Usually only see that in HD/BD encodes. I really want a full DBox copy again of Dragon Ball, but I can't sacrifice that much space for it...
@ Hugo
So, the Salvat DVDs have better picture quality, but the Manga Films' DVDs have better audio quality? ? I hate that distributors make fans work (for free, no less) to have an ideal release.
Next:
• Dragon Box GT Remux (142GB ish)
• Crayon Shin-chan Spanish Dub Collection (73GB ish)
• Dragon Ball Salvat (200GB ish)
• Dragon Ball Manga Films (195GB ish)
It should all be uploaded quite fast in given time.
Used to go to Spain for holidays as a kid. I'm originally from Portugal, but prefer to watch Western/Japanese animated series and movies in Spanish (I never learned Catalan though I wish I did as it's spoken in Andorra).
Edit: I've uploaded nearly 1TB now, but folks seem keen on H&R which delays the other uploads. :-/
No, but it's really nice looking picture quality release. To those who hate grain they'll even say it looks like "VHS".
I just don't understand the hate towards grain. It's dumb.
@dragonballlover
The PAL DBZ singles DVDs you wanted are being seeded and have been for some time. https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1246522
I left you an email too. You should have been keeping that torrent active like I suggested.
@Impakt
Do you mean the Madman DBZ singles have just edited audio or the video as well?
Thanks for that info I will check that one day if I can ever find some time, but if it ends up that Mr. Satan isn't called Hercule then I won’t know what exactly I would look for, and I don’t know if I would watch it all side by side until I find something, especially if you are wrong and its all the same.
I was wondering if you could confirm something for me about this torrent. In the folder called “[FUNimation] Dragon Ball - Movies, Music, Trailers & Booklets” there is a Blu-ray remux folder that has Dragon Ball movies 1-4 (4:3). I wasn’t aware that Funimation released a Blu-ray for these movies. Is that true, or did you make a mistake labeling that as Funimation?
@mrbean I really appreciate your seeding , but there is 2 things I would like to clear . Firstly: I only want Freiza DVDs . Secondly: The downloading speed was very slow and I was stuck for almost a day and had to give up on downloading it and I'm afraid you deleted your seeded copy and thought that I finished my download .
As for your question about the editing in Madman Z singles, I think Impakt said that because most episodes lack recaps and that only the first episode of each disc has it . This applies for Captain Ginuy DVDs until Great sayiman DVDs / episodes . After that , all recaps have been reserved / intact in those Madman DVDs . Not to mention that the saban episodes had all of their recaps intact as well ( it's the other way around in Funi's NTSC DVDs by the way) , but this is another story , since we 're only talking about the uncut episodes here . Besides , there is no Japanese audio tracks for these episodes ( from Ginuy to Great sayiman ) and I think their eyecatchers have been removed as well , but I'm not very sure of that eyecathcer thingy . + Mr. Satan is called Satan in those Z PAL DVDs most of the time , just like what they did in their American counterparts . Oh and speaking of that , I noticed that many lines have been changed back to call him Hercule , instead of Satan in the uncut remastered audio tracks and I don't know why . Maybe they lost their final files they used in their Uncut DVD singles and had to use an earlier files while remastering at the time .
As for your question about the blu-ray movies Funi did , the answer is yes and they used the same master they used in their remastered DVDs . ( hence their movie 2 frame rate is broken and the best available source to avoid that is their old single DVD )
and As far as I know , those Blu-ray movies were exclusive within streaming services and were not released in home videos .
@dragonballlover
Thanks for the info.
I’m sure though that Impakt wouldn’t have said edited unless he meant edited. He’s just unsure if it is.
So I guess the answer is No, Funimation didn’t make a Dragon Ball Blu-ray, since streaming 1080p has nothing to do with Blu-ray. Although since its the same master as their remastered DVDs, does that mean its an upscale?
As for the torrent at this link https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1246522
Why are you still not trying to download it? You say you want it and you keep asking for it, but you refuse to leave that torrent active in your torrent client. You never even left a comment on that torrent webpage asking for a seed. And on top of that you are saying you don’t want to get it that way because it’s too slow?
5 people managed to finish downloading that torrent while you decided it was too slow. It will be slow if you are only downloading some of the DVDs since you can’t get those from the other leechers until they get that part of the torrent. I’ve left a torrent active many times for many months and even over a year before I got a seed and finished the torrent. Seeds do come back on nyaa, but most of the time you have to leave a comment on that torrent webpage and leave that torrent active in your torrent client. You have to try with the resources that are there.
Well, you are lucky that Pemangsa1987 asked for a seed 2 days ago. So someone is seeding now and he is the only one downloading. So don’t miss out on it. Get it now and you should probably get a connection directly to the seed so you can get the exact DVDs you want faster. Either way you will finish downloading within 2 weeks I would think. And even if somehow it takes a month, its better than how long it will take if you don’t do that.
And read that comment from the seeder so you know what to expect. Maybe leave a comment letting him know your downloading as well if you feel like it.
