She meets a boy who loves painting, and develops a crush on him. But the boy, Kijinami Yuusuke, is still suffering from the aftermath of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. How will she get close to him so she can confess her love? OK, who keeps giving Yamamoto Yutaka money? I only ask because this project was crowdfunded and got 21 million yen. That's about 2000$, or something. Anyway, this short movie is fine. The problem is it's JUST fine. So why did I watch it? And why did I encode it? Well, it's short, at only 50 minutes. And it does look nice. And it reminded me of Sound Euphonium. It's not close to being that good, but I did enjoy the "subtle" jabs at "other properties" Yutaka put in the movie. That takes balls. No class, but balls. Actually, that's Yutaka in one sentence. No preview this time cause.... the hell was I supposed to put in them? Subs from Erai. **Rating: 5/10**

5/10 lol. I'd say the same, maybe even lower.

I gave it one point for the completely out of nowhere undressing and smelling scene. What even WAS that? I didn't get it. So one point for making me think, I guess. Oh, and they DID bother to draw the nipples. You'd only see that if you took a screenshot and adjusted the color levels..... or so I heard... I wouldn't know.
**@DmonHiro** This movie was an absolute failure in my opinion. Can't believe people put that much yen into it. Just something I watched cause I was bored. Waste of my time though. Just a short mediocre drama. And no a preview isn't needed for this. It doesn't deserve it. Looking at the **[rating](https://myanimelist.net/anime/34972/Hakubo)** confirms my opinion.

The studio didn't put money in it. The fans did. 21 million yen. For the record, my 5 means it's mediocre, not terrible. It's a passing grade. I don't regret wasting time on it, but that also has to do with how little time would have been wasted.
I'd give it a 7/10 for the art though. Everything else was ok.
is good movie but i can't say it's bad one there really shitty movies out there and this is not one of them
> 21 million yen. That’s about 2000$, or something. That's about $197,000 USD.
Expecting DmonHiro to not mess up..... kek. How the hell did I not notice that huge discrepancy. Must be that sleep deprivation kicking in.

The discrepancy WAS the joke. You people have no sense of true comedy.
I wasn't planning on watching this, but you got me curious with your comment mentioning that there's an "undressing and smelling scene" and "they DID bother to draw the nipples". Now I really need to watch this, lol PS: Like Ryuuneko said, 21 million yen is more like $198,000 USD or something.

DmonHiro, hmm... is that a meme or something? Sorry, but I don't get it. By the way, it's "Montmorency". I named my account after my favorite anime protagonist of all time, from Ulysses: Jeanne d'Arc to Renkin no Kishi. And you were the one who provided me the subs for the BD back then, so I'm really thankful to you for that ;) I have rewatched that anime a bunch of times, it's a masterpiece!!

Yeah, that's what happens when I try to type usernames. It's not a meme, it's a very old joke about how the dollar used to be super strong against the yen, while also making fun of how many 0s Japanese currency has. Yeah, I'm old.
DmonHiro, Thanks for the explanation! I actually thought it was a typo. By the way I just watched the movie, and you were right, it's just... average. By your earlier comment about the undressing scene, I was imagining something "exhibitionism" like the girl undressing in front of the guy for a nude painting (and the guy smelling her?) due to the pic in the description. But unfortunately I ended up being disappointed, lol. Thanks for the upload though!
