Didnt know a 2160p version exists. Hmm.
@Hifumi_l It's probably a 1080p -> 2160p TV upscale. (I'm assuming so since it's a UHDTV Rip)
You Are (NOT) 4K
of course it's an upscale
Even the original 1080p blu-ray is already a (bad) upscale, lol. This is an "HV1280", I remember when I tested it, it turned to be a little bit higher than 720p, probably ~810. Aliasing was a visible issue in the CGI, though. Heck of a lot of work to filter it scene by scene properly. Didn't like the Rebuilds enough to bother trying to filter it. I'm curious to see what they did here, I'll download to check it out.
Yeah, this has zero gains in resolution, IT does have a Bt.2020 transfer but it is lacking HDR lumimance data. This looks to be originally HDR as the colors are dull and some shots with clear explosions have weird compressed contrast. However, I guess OP captured this from Japanese television but the luma data got lost in the transfer/remux process. I'll try reconstruct the h265 data with some generic values and reinforce and see if there is actually some benefit in the new bt.2020 master.

@Sephirotic I still have the m2ts file. Let me know if you need that.
@Chrno Thanks man, can you check with mediainfo if there is luminance metadata present? If it does, just paste it here and maybe I can fix it up. But I guess it would have been mantained if you just remuxed it with matroska, probably was lost due to the capture pipeline you used... Did you reencode or remux? Keeping HDR metadata properly can be a PITA much of the time because it is not present in the container, but into the video stream, unfortunately.

@Sephirotic All I did was re-mux the m2ts to mkv. I did not capture this myself. Here's the info from the eva 1.11 file: https://pastebin.pl/view/e8e1cb8d
Thanks! but, do 2.22 and 3.33 have UHDTV too?

@peke7676 Yes they do :)

@codegeassxsaoxangelbeats No. It's in the raw section for a reason.
Any chance we can also get the 2.22 and 3.33 UHDTV? Thanks in adv.
