Thanks for the share, saw the small file size and was concerned you guys were starting to go for low bitrate over quality, but then compared it to the JPBD and saw that the source is just pretty undemanding

get used to it. Low-pay low-quality subtitle-mills are killing the market for fansubs - this is kinda by design. Just look at the Twitter nerds who brag about doing translation work on anime - they produce pure dogshit with no flavor or nuance. Problem is the presence of this dogshit is "just good enough" to preempt the need for good subtitles from hardworking fans (low effort to reward ratio), unless the anime is so popular that an enterprising fan decides to work on it (higher effort to reward ratio because the anime is expected to have a very long shelf-life and attract a lot of attention online).
CR, Amazon, and NF subs are pretty much all we're getting for series and movies that aren't super popular. It sucks but that's what's happening.
