What do you watch anime on? Also unrelated: What video do you time your subs to? I'd like to watch, but your encodes, or whatever source your using is blegh.

Do you use VLC? I never had any problems with their releases. Switch to MPV.

Who cares if GJM is already working on Majo no Tabitabi? The uploader can do the shows that he/she wants to.

@the_swizzler On my laptop. With K-lite+MPC. MPV doesn't show all fonts and typeset for me. Also I mostly use Erai+HS. Reencoded by myself. @Interruptor Sorry, but I use MPC only. I have tested MPV and it didn't show me all the typesetting. They releases are looking something similar to HS defaults when using MPV. When using MPC it looks good, but freeses on heavy moments. Plus 10bit and file size WAY too big for my tastes.

@mad_le_zisell , I'm glad I'm not the only person who has those problems . I always blamed my laptop toaster (which prefers 720p anyway) for the freezing up of GJM OPs and EDs . Always liked and preferred your posts . Thank you !

@ChaoXide, at my (advanced) age I can't hit up the kids for too much too often . Presents are supposed to go the other way . Not everyone is flush financially , that's why they use sites like nyaa !!

@ChaoXide I don't. I use meatloaf from 2012. It is enough for me to watch movies and anime. After all I took it for this sole reason. @Father_Snrub No. It's their typeset issue. I couldn;t watch their "Eizouken" release, because of the constant freezes in typeset heavy places. Which (to tell the truth) was like 90 percent of the show. I even extracted their sub and connected it with working HS release (thinking it was 10bit problem) and still got freeses. I admit they are gods when it comes to typeset, but what is good when said typeset works only with one player, most people don't even use? I just want to sit and watch my anime without having any troubles with playback.

@mad_le_zisell: When in MPC, switch to the 'Internal subtitle renderer' if available. Works for me on the newer GJM releases. My pc is quite old too (i5 3rd gen iirc of 2012) but it's the typesetting that kills it sometimes. Just try my suggestion; if it works for me, maybe for you too.

@mad_le_zisell , I fully understand where you are coming from . I just thought I was the only one suffering so I shut up about it . **I just want to sit and watch my anime without having any troubles with playback.** -- this is my sentiment exactly !!

@Moses35i Thank you for your advice. But it is my already default option. I'm still having slight freezes. Especially on karaoke. IDK what's the problem. I have no problem with people preferring clearly better release to mine (this is most logical thing to do), but if my releases satisfy even one person besides me it was already worth making.

@mad_le_zisell: I'm running MPC-HC 1.7.13.32 + LAV Filters 0.70.2.1 + madVR 0.91.10 + xy-VSFilter 3.0.0.306. Videocard is a simple Saphire HD6450 via HDMI This whole bunch runs on Windows XPsp3 dedicated to playing only Anime. Maybe you can do something with this info The only releases I can't play are some of Commie and DDY when in 720p. I guess I need a newer version of LAV Filters and Windows 7sp1 or newer (which I refuse to do atm (too much hassle and I'm lazy af))..

That strange. Because I have never had any problems with commie releases. Yet again, their last release I have watched was "Otaku ni koi wa muzukashii".

Some of their releases (540p-720p) require a newer version of lavFilters which runs only on Win7 or better. 1080p releases are not a problem. The same goes for DDY. My setup is WinXP-based due to exotic hardware. My best guess is you are using win7 or better...

7x64 on laptop. 8.1x64 on main PC. Well, before my main PC has died that is.
