From sam:
My encode of the R1 DVD with G_P subtitles. Fixed sign timing, but subtitle dialogue timing (and other issues) needs to be completely reworked.

Subtitles:

v1 Notes: Remux of Eclatax and G_P subtitles. Resized subtitles to correct the AR differences, restyled dialogue, fixed sign timing, and fixed dialogue overlays over a couple of signs.

Is it recommended to start with this or the movie version?
NodMan
@doomedfreak If you are talking aboot the 80’s movie and dun miind it’s age I’d start there. I really love the movie and even though there a few major changes in the series, the series is great too. Story and science fiction aspects of this movie/series are very 'Matrix like" (for a lack of a better phrase).

Less artifacting and banding compared to G_P, but the difference in Aspect Ratio is a little strange.

Are you sure that’s how it’s supposed to be?

@type17_RAIDEN In your comparison, it’s actually the G_P encode that looks streched to me

Looks like G_P retains details better, but SAM removed artifacts better!
