As for the series, it is a 1970's-era tokusatsu super hero series that was the sequel to Kikaider, but you don't need to watch Kikaider to understand the basics of this one. The hero is a solar-powered android who is normally human, but turns into Kikaider 01 when the evil organization Shadow and its henchmen, the Hakaiders, try to pull off an evil plot. There's the typical monster-of-the-week plot that was so popular with Toei series back in the day, but Kikiader 01 works so much into that formula that you almost don't notice it. Also--if you're aware of who Sue Shiomi is (she starred in a bunch of kung-fu films in the 70's for Toei), her first role was in this series as the female android Bejinder. I hope that helps a little bit; if not, there's always Google and Wikipedia, right? :)

Thank you for the compliment! I also did similar work on the original series too. I plan on buying the blu rays for that show and refitting the subtitles on them. If you want you can make a torrent for that too.

@glamrick: You're welcome, man! You have sprinkled goodness all across this site; I have a LOT of your encodes from your seemingly endless Mega folder. You wouldn't happen to still have the original Kikaider encodes you did, would you? I'd love to get them up here, but the old Mega links are dead. Why Kikaider got removed and not Kikaider 01 makes no sense. Can't wait for the Blu-Rays, I hear they look fantastic! Keep up the great work!
