Fun fact just because I like talking about interesting things: CRF (Constant Rate Factor), often called "Constant Quality," is a lie. CRF compression will actually lower the quality to save on bit rate during sections with high motion (when people can't make out the image as clearly anyway) and raise it during sections with low motion—which in the case of typical anime is practically all the time, and without VBR's 2-pass mode, there's no correcting for that*. CQP compression (Constant Quantization Parameter) actually keeps it constant. Under general conditions when individual frames are compared, CRF compression typically looks worse than CQP. However, studies using only in-motion video (and yes, scientists study this stuff) have shown that most people usually *perceive* CRF as being higher quality. Because of that, CQP is considered a waste of space, and most encoder GUIs don't even give it as an option. *: As a result of that, for 2 videos encoded with the same rate factor, one with less motion will actually be encoded at a higher average "quality." RF values are not universal, especially when it comes to anime VS live action.

@Century-Coloured-Zeta No shit, Sherlock. It literally says that in the description. It's part of the "Max compatibility" (described in the rest of the description). Practically no hardware players support ASS subtitles, and any other subtitle format can't do, well, basically anything. On top of that, ASS tends to lag, freeze, or crash on potato PCs. It uses far more resources than many realize.
