V2 to fix some out-of-order subs. Only 11-13, 16-18, 21, 22, 24, and 28 are affected. If you have any of the other files from the V1, they are identical. [Mostly] Original V1 description follows. *** HD Remaster means there's not much detail since it wasn't originally drawn for HD, so CRF compression is super effective. Enjoy the small file sizes even with three audio tracks. A remake of [hchcsen's release](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1514135) with the following changes: * Reencoded video and all 3 audio tracks using compression formats that were actually made [barely] within the last 10 years*. * [Obviously] Renamed files with more traditional formatting. * Added proper titles to chapters. Note I didn't modify the chapters at all. I only gave them names. * [V2 Update] Fixed some signs/songs subtitle tracks mixed around into the wrong episodes. [Thanks [sekuza009](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1607359#com-5)] FYI, the video quality was already kinda weird in the original BluRay source, before anyone started reencoding it. They did a lazy job of remastering it. Video: 1080p x265 10-bit (HEVC main10) Audio 1: Japanese (Opus) Audio 2: Ocean's OG English dub (Opus) Audio 3: HD Remaster's hilariously bad English dub (Opus) Subtitles 1: Full English translation (ASS) For episodes without insert songs: Subtitles 2: English Signs and Song Lyrics (ASS) For episodes with insert songs — the Remaster's new English dub changed the song lyrics: Subtitles 2: English Signs and Song Lyrics for the OG English dub (ASS) Subtitles 3: English Signs and Song Lyrics for the 2nd English dub (ASS) *: Opus is from 2012. 10-bit HEVC is from 2013.

Do you have any plans for "seed destiny"?

@komene I do not. I was one of the people who actually didn't dislike Destiny when it aired (and I haven't seen it since then), but I still didn't particularly like it either. The Gundam releases I've done have either been a case of there not being a decent version available in the case of the really unpopular shows, or, in this case, SEED is my favorite Gundam anime and I wanted an ideal version *for myself*. And I figured I might as well release it.
oh... but I want seed destiny HD Remaster in x265
Thanks for sharing your personal version. It'll go nicely with with the secondary archive im building. adding size as a factor x265's compression allows for more files to be stored on external backup. . @komene Then make your very own version. It isn't rocket science. There's a couple encoders a 5 year old can make use of Get one and go fir it. There's plenty of versions out. " in x265" Do you know the difference between x265 and x264? Preference, its not necessarily an improvement, It would be an improvement if the codec worked on any kind of media player they way x264 can. Same goes for OPUS its also a preference. Like x265, opus was created as a counter measure for offline sharing. Both will only play on software based media players. x264, AC3, AAC and before play on any kind of media player that BluRay and DVD's play on. Just because it wasn't made in the last 10 years means nothing. The media world will never change formats Before h10, x265, opus were dumped into the sharing community. Everyone pretty much stuck to a standard. It made sure files were compatible with any media player. Right before 2011, h10 codec and a new generation of Anime fans appeared in Anime community. Bringing with.it disrespect for Anime, encoders and sharers. Most but not all demanded to be catered to. funimation was responsible for it all. @komene "oh…" "but I want seed destiny HD Remaster in x265." Seriously, has anyone ever told you, without giving respect to every person, you want something from. Is not only ludicrous. It if it were possible they would probably ban you from ever commenting on anything they share ever again. You can't demand what you want the same way you order at a fast food counter.

@JustSayNo2Funi > The media world will never change formats Lol tell that to x262 (MPEG-2) and MP3. Switching to x264 and AAC was relatively recent, even though AAC originally came out in the 90s. x262 is still used by OTA TV broadcasts. By the way, UHD-BDs (AKA 4K BluRays) use x265. That's actually the difference between them and older HD BDs. A *4K BluRay player* is extremely standard hardware that supports x265. A lot of big companies use Opus already, too. Newer stuff *does* end up in hardware, it just takes time for it to become widespread. Although the anime piracy community has never given a crap about that. Back during the x262 era, everyone was using XviD and telling everyone to use Media Player Classic with very specific codecs if they wanted to use their releases. Fansub groups literally made their own codec pack. x264 becomes a thing but literally nothing supports it natively yet, fansubbers run with it early and continue the same song and dance (Mac users be damned). No one ever gave cries about compatibility the time of day back then. And all your talk about "preference" just goes to further cement how little you understand the issue. BTW, wanna know what is probably never going to get widespread hardware support? ASS subtitles. > opus was created as a counter measure for offline sharing Um, Opus was created to allow low latency, high-quality speech for voice chat applications. The purpose was to increase voice quality while allowing for the fact that most of the world still doesn't have access to broadband internet. [Owing to that, Discord uses it.] It had literally nothing to do with... whatever it is you're suggesting. P.S. Chill. And this is coming from someone who used to work fast food back in the day. You're the asshole here. P.P.S. Does anyone else remember VHS fansubs?
Is this really missing episode 49 and 50?

@Iara HD Remaster only has 48 episodes because it skipped the two recap episodes.
This is a very mixed bag release with a lot of mistakes left in, bad timing on subs at times, & questionable translations at times. Still it's the better option to watch this from what's available. As far as I know.
