@pip3 In think we already talked about it somewhere else. I’m gonna download and watch this but I don’t necessarily disagree with you. I still have quite a few works from Yuasa that I have to watch, but stuff like PPTA, Night is short and TTG are masterpieces that (to me) redefine the medium as a whole.

Stuff like Kemonozume & Mind Game is way too abstract artistic intent to me, and Kaiba is just pretentious overthinking, but overall I don’t know if Yuasa fell off. Perhaps watching some more recent stuff could help a bit.

I have to say that I loathe musical anime, but Night is short was definitely great so… Idk. Will give this a try.

@Interroptor i’m gonna have to disagree with you in that i would include all his titles you seemingly didn’t like as much in the pantheon of medium defining anime, but i would still like to hear what you thought abt this movie. i’ll check back on the comments shere from time to time

Also, I know my take on those anime is kind of… atypical. For what is worth, I re-valued mind game and consider it an actual good film.

I wonder why using JP-BD instead of US-BD? From you comparisons, seems like US-BD is much better, mostly because of chroma.
