-120m is 720p and is a hardsubbed rip from a Dailymotion upload as those are the only damn subs that have been made available at this point in time. -46h is 1080p and the raw is taken from https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1647178
I'm guessing the subs on -120m are just the scanlation overlaid on the motion video, with the subs at the end taken straight from THORA's release of 3.0. So I mean, okay. The subs for -46h are...fine. Like, there's nothing egregiously wrong. The meanings are all there. The issue really is just with temporality. The subs tend to change a lot of lines into direct present-progressive quotes rather than what they actually are. As an example, there's the line "Report from WILLE: There doesn't appear to be any survivors here." First, I believe grammatically it should be "don't appear" since the subject is survivors, which is plural. Second, Mari says "datta yo," reinforcing that this is a past-tense reflection on some past conversation with WILLE intelligence, not an ongoing present-progressive quote of a radio broadcast. So a closer translation would be more like, "According to WILLE this area didn't have any survivors, you know." The final meaning is identical--WILLE says there are no survivors here. So the viewer isn't missing out on the most important piece of information. But one line suggests that Mari currently has WILLE in her ear, while the other shows that Mari is just wondering aloud why Asuka wants to bother sortieing here at all considering their existing intel. Similarly one of the next lines is, "I'll trust my instincts, newbie!" but Asuka actually said 'shinjiro', which means she was commanding Mari to trust her instincts. So actually it's more like "Just trust me on this one, newbie!" In any case, nitpicks. It's Evangelion, after all.
