Subs from [UTW](https://nyaa.iss.one/?f=0&c=0_0&q=utw+fate%2Fzero+bd) (via [SCY](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/1122132)). Difficult encode. The show is very noisy, and no one who has encoded this show has committed to preserving all of the noise since that would result in ~9GB episodes (I tested). Dealing with the noise has its downsides no matter how you do it, so watching a JPBD remux certainly has its advantages if you're a grain lover. But watching on this encode isn't so bad either, since it fixes some aliasing, haloing, and an OP that is totally borked for much of cour 1. There are also color issues. [Here](https://slow.pics/c/db0EnfW4) are some extremely cherry-picked comparisons from various episodes that show that the JPBD suffers from blurred colors in many scenes. I used the chroma in the UKBD to fix this. The problem exists in more than 80% of the runtime for cour 2. [Image quality comparisons](https://slow.pics/c/5LIkIbfC)

look at that file size. this shit is starved
Encode is actually quite good imo, but I'll wait for the minimtbb release just because I don't have 100 GB reserved for Fate/Zero.
Thanks I love Gen Urobuchi making the best entry.
urobuchi be like "how do i make a reddit tier SUFFERING anime for edgy teenagers" and so he wrote fate/zero
> urobuchi be like “how do i make a reddit tier SUFFERING anime for edgy teenagers” and so he wrote fate/zero it's 2023, we don't need to keep pretending like f/z isn't good just because it's tonally very different from f/sn

Don't worry about it, when someone calls an anime "reddit," that just means "a show that a lot of people like." People understand that making fun of something for being popular is frowned upon, so they have to use different terminology.
is this whole fate series or just fate zero?
i totally think f/z is the best fate has to offer aside from strange fake but urobuchi is still a shitty writer
still no bakemonogatari encode edit: agree with my friend peanutbutt69, the only decent fate series I watched and I was told Nasu didn't even write it.
@motbob that's something a redditor would say
bro you released this when i was 17 episodes into my f/z rewatch i didnt trust it would come out so soon..... oh well
> 100.9 GiB damn, that's small
may as well have thrown flac in there, what's a dozen more gigs
Nice! How does this compare to Beatrice Encode? Currently have that one in my archive.
\>preserving grain \>not preserving aliasing and haloing smh
Thanks, was planning on rewatching it.

> where are the NCs I think remux is the best option for the NCs.
btw were the ger bdmvs inferior after all?

They might have been the best choice if you just wanted to mux subs onto a BD and watch that way. But JPBD luma was better, and UKBD chroma was better.
Me when the cool anime spreadsheet tells me to download a 100 gig release: O_O 7 yessir
sucks that theres no dual audio. f/z dub is one of the best out there

Thank you for all the Fate love. Would love to see more!
