These sources are terrible.
This encode uses scenefiltered splices/averages between the JPBD, CR, and some remux I found on AB. The latter two were awful; CR was terrible, despite it usually being the savior for bad BDs, and both were tinted anyway. That said, the other BD was still better than JP some scenes (such as very grainy ones, where the latter was starved so bad that it ghosted), and CR managed to avoid having shitty ringing on the credits, so they each had their purpose I guess
This is a mux with commie subs and the [following change](https://pastebin.com/CtD8w0a6).
Part 1: It's okay, but I don't particularly have an interest in doing it
Part 2: Boring, ugly sources as far as I checked, no (and it's long!). Didn't finish
Part 3: can't say, haven't watched
Parts 4-6 are really fun, but they also all have really bad compression. I haven't checked out 1-3 thoroughly, but I know 1 and 2 didn't have starvation issues that bothered me nearly as much
No offense, but I don't see how any Lupin fan can claim that they prefer parts 5&6 over the OG classics. You're entitled to your opinion and personal tastes, of course, but this is a head scratcher for me.
Having compared the JP and US BD episode 1's a while back, it's good to know that they're both equally awful still after that.
Massive shame Sentai seem to be getting everything Part 6 and onward by default rather than Discotek, as their encoding is shit.
Thank you for the release!

@DoktorWeiss It's not odd. The animation isn't good and part 3 is just silly. Part 1 is important for the story (albeit not very important, just origins of the characters), part 2 is good to be familiar with just due to the tone of the red jacket Lupin. Part 3 is just Lupin in a Looney Tunes-esque gag structure. Part 4 onward are stellar in comparison animation wise and apply the original grittiness of the green jacket Lupin while giving him and his compatriots a more matured character structure. Really you can just watch Castle of Cagliostro and the yearly specials to be familiar with how red and green jacket Lupin vibe while skipping parts 1-3. If you read the manga you'd know that it's a fairly dark story most of the time with slapstick for relief.
