At long last it's finally here! The final of the "Rebuild" of Evangelion movies.
This 4K remux comes from the official US 4K UHD & Blu-ray release from GKids.
Nothing added or deleted; just a simple remux from my purchased 4K set.
One advantage of this being an SDR release is that you can set aside any concerns about tone mapping issues.
However, if you don't have a proper 4K setup, I would still recommend grabbing the 1080p version.

The correct encoding settings of the Japanese blocked the increase in bitrate to 72 usa vs 55 jp. In 90% of cases it looks either the same or a little bit better.

Only in a couple of scenes there is a slight improvement in fine dark lines, but this is not at all the increase in quality that should be seen with an increase in the average bitrate by 17 mb/s.
This has been fumble for GKids overall. I actually had to get two different sets to even rip this. The first set; the 4K and Bonus discs were corrupted. It's not surprising the video quality being subpar to the Japanese edition. At the very least we got the lossless English dub and can finally put to rest the Amazon DD+ mix.
