Description:
Tabi Hani is an original animation project in which two high school girls go on a “journey” to various parts of Japan. The two main characters (Nagi and Akari) travel to various parts of Japan and develop a friendship through comical dialogue and chance encounters on their journey. By connecting the anime and the real world through the medium of the characters, this new mixed media project carefully depicts the charms of various regions of Japan from a new angle, and presents the true fun of traveling and new forms of travel after COVID-19.

Tabi Hani is a crowdfunded project with the theme of traveling through Japan. The first episode “Kyoto-hen” (京都編) was shown to the project’s backers at UPLINK Kyoto on April 8th 2023. In late October a digital release with a limit of 100 copies and English subtitles included was made available for non-backers.

Additional Information:

• The video files you can access after your purchase include a 720p and a 900p version of the movie with an additional 1080p version being loaded by the video player but not being selectable by normal means. This release includes the 720p and the 1080p versions. Be aware that the 1080p version contains a few minor video errors that most likely are in the original too.
• The content of the English subtitles was not altered in comparison to what the original contained but a basic amount of typesetting and a few minor adjustments were applied to fix some limitations of their player.
