This was tested in mpv to work and should work in other players according to a 20 second Google search that I didn't verify. If it doesn't, the video should just render as 16:9/as the file was originally ripped from CR. This whole process is fully lossless, so there is really no downside to trying this. At worst, it's a CR WEB-DL, at best it's the best way to watch the film currently.
