**Explanation of all the work done:**
Episode 219 was created digitally, transfered to analog to be aired on TV, and then for some reason transfered back to digital for DVD release. This unusual process has resulted in many artifacts you would typically find in low quality DVD transfers: Dot Crawl, Rainbowing, Chromatic Artifacting, and Interlace/Aliasing issues.
Most of the problems existed with the lines in the animation. Dot Crawl, Rainbowing, and Aliasing were all able to be reduced by isolating the animation lines of the episode, processing them seperately from the YUV channels, and overlaying them back on top. By doing so, we've been able to clean most of these artifacts while preserving most of the actual detail in the episode. While not an absolutely perfect method, the result (while somewhat different from the original) is sharp and clean. Much nicer than the original source we started with.
However, that isn't where the story ends. The intention of this release is to recreate the rerun broadcast for this episode as it aired in 2003. Using different sources from TV and DVD, we have added additional footage
An additional intro scene as well as an alternate credit sequence has been added to the episode. Both come from the TV captured rerun from 2003. The intro scene is an animation uniquely made for this episode. The alternate credits scene has different music compared to the DVD release. Unfortunately, due to it's age, the quality is far from perfect.
An additional scene has been added from the 2010 DVD released with volume 4 of Magic Kaito. This DVD is somewhat higher quality than the original DVD source. An additional benefit is that the audio track from the DVD is improved over the original release and has been used to replace the original DVD audio for the surrounding scenes.
All of the bumper/eyecatch scenes have been replaced and the original "Special!" episode text has been remade to reflect the way it would have been in the 2003 broadcast.
The next episode preview (220) has been recreated from the captured "Remastered" broadcast to match the original preview of the DVD. The remastered title preview screen was remade and the "next conan hint" as well as the joke at the end of the episode use the modern remastered broadcast images.
