My first upload. Video: [[SUCC]](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/942074) - H264 8-bit ~9.5Mbps reencode. Audio: [[SUCC]](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/942074) - Japanese AAC 5.1 ~350kbps reencode. Subs: [[MTBB]](https://nyaa.iss.one/view/943215) - English ASS untouched. I made this release because of a few reasons: - 10-bit videos aren't that great, especially when you're relaying on GPU decoding. - The SUCC release has unneeded audio tracks/subtitles and is a little bit too heavy. - PGS subs looks ugly (motbob's are much better, thx for them!). I hope you enjoy it.

10 bit videos are great especially if you look at banding issues, also gpu decoding is mature enough that it handles that fine so IDK where you get this info from.
>10-bit videos aren’t that great Well, ~15% size reduction is pretty good... >especially when you’re relying on GPU decoding. Oh yeah, guess I can't argue with that.

I know about coulour banding problems, but what you suggest when you have to play 10-bit on cheap ARM like Raspberry Pi? I suspect a lot of people use consoles for playing movies or even old HTPCs with Nvidia ION.
Marked as remake since this is a remake. If you're looking to watch anime on the steaming turd that is the rpi, you're going to have a bad time anyway. Especially things with decent ASS typesetting.
GPU Decoding jeez what a joke that is the worst one I have seen so far most clients are basically built to support that aside from lower end mobile systems like a ARM based Tablet or phone. Though if you use those you probably want to use a plex server anyways if you are in that situation and I also see that your bitrate is pretty low for a x264 encode.

You probably thought about RPi1 and I was thinking about RPi3. Besides, it was just an example. Right, this is reencode, sorry.

And what bitrate is good enough?
For clarity, the reason it's marked as remake is because it uses my subs w/ no changes, not because it's a reencode. [SUCC] is an untouched source so people can do w/e they want with it in terms of reencoding. If it were up to me, torrents that use my subs wouldn't be marked as red, but the rules are the rules.
RE-Encode applies to encodes that use already not from BD source encodes to make their release it is generally seen as a bad thing as it introduces more losses in the mix

Then what about SUCC? Isn't that just a remux of BD? I'm trying to understand :/
okay some releases have a remux though most of the times the consent is you get the video from the main BDMV disk/ISO/Files and encode that and mux that later with your own preferred audio/subs I do this on multiple occasions. I actually had to go in my no game no life release and add in additional sound parts for the English audio to make it sync to the video. In this occasion I had 2 source materials the BDMV of US and JP.
SUCC is a remux of the BD. Obviously, that is not a remake because it's not derived from anyone else's original release. [GD] is a reencode of SUCC. But [GD] doesn't fall under the "reencode of original release" category of remakes because SUCC isn't an "original release" for the purpose of the rules, being an untouched source. I don't know if a reencode of a raw would fall under the remake rules but I suspect not, and how would the mods detect that anyway. Mostly the reencode rule is for groups like [Deadfish] etc. who make mp4 hardsubbed versions of fansub releases. However, this release does fall under the "Remux of another uploader's original release" category of remakes. "Remux" in that case basically refers to remuxing subs only. I don't know if that clears up any of your confusion.

Well explained, thx.
@motbob "[GD] is a reencode of SUCC". How can it be a 'reencode' when his source is a remux?
Dude how is this possible 7.4gb upload without flac audio.

@Lordbryan62 because of video quality kept at high level. With untouched FLAC it would be ~9.5GB.
is this better than Beatrice?
